Question 1

Is there an app for office gate entry that sends a WhatsApp notification?

Accepted Answer

Yes. ScanPass is a gate entry and visitor management app built for offices, commercial buildings and societies. When someone arrives at the gate, the guard snaps a photo, and ScanPass sends a WhatsApp notification to the host with the visitor or vehicle details. The host taps Approve or Reject right in WhatsApp, and the guard lets them in.

Question 2

Which visitor management app sends an approval request on WhatsApp?

Accepted Answer

ScanPass does. Every visitor is announced to the right person on WhatsApp with a photo and details, and they approve or reject in a single tap. There is no app for the host or visitor to install, it all happens inside WhatsApp.

Question 3

Can I use ScanPass for an office, not just a residential society?

Accepted Answer

Yes. ScanPass works for offices, corporate parks, commercial buildings, malls, campuses, residential societies and any public or private space that wants smarter entries. You can notify employees, tenants or residents, and track every visitor who comes in.

Question 4

Does ScanPass scan both vehicles and visitors on foot?

Accepted Answer

Both. For a vehicle, the AI reads the number plate in under a second. For a visitor on foot, the guard captures them with a photo. Either way the entry is logged and the host is notified on WhatsApp for approval.

Question 5

Does ScanPass need any special hardware or CCTV?

Accepted Answer

No. ScanPass runs on the standard Android phone your guard already carries. There is no boom barrier, ANPR camera or edge box to install, and no installation fee. If your guard has a mid-range Android phone, your gate can be live the same day.

Question 6

How does the host approve a visitor from WhatsApp?

Accepted Answer

The host gets a WhatsApp message the moment the visitor is scanned, showing the plate or photo and who they are visiting. They tap Approve or Reject inside the chat. The guard sees the decision instantly on their screen and allows or turns away the visitor. Every step is written to a tamper-proof record.

Question 7

How much does ScanPass cost, and is there a free trial?

Accepted Answer

Every new workspace starts with a 14-day free trial of the full product, no card needed. After the trial, Pro is Rs 1,499 a month and Premium is Rs 3,999 a month, priced per workspace, not per gate. All plans include the guard app, the manager console and WhatsApp visitor approvals.

Question 8

Is ScanPass data secure and tamper-proof?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every entry is time-stamped, locked the moment it is written and backed up to the cloud, so nothing can be torn out or rewritten like a paper register. Managers control who can see the data, and you can search any car or visitor from any day in milliseconds.
